I am so jealous!! Even your old one visually looks nicer (though at least my oven functions) -- oh, the joys of old crappy condo living. I so want to invest in a nicer kitchen, but since my husband is moving away in May, it makes no sense pouring money into anything, since theoretically we won't be doing the long distance marriage forever, and at some point in a couple of years I'll be moving up to where he'll be living...

In the meantime, I will just be insanely jealous of your awesomely attractive new stove!

yeah, i guess that does make sense. sadly, although stainless steel is the most popular choice these days, all of our appliances are white...but this doesn't come in white which means it will actually stick out like a sore thumb. but the good news is that it will actually work, and work well, which is why this stove won out in the end.

Miriam,
I love the new stove. We're stove shopping as well - let me know how you like it. My sis-in-law got something very similar to yours. She wants to give us her old one and I'm not sure..Kinda like my own new stove. Any thoughts?

I do really like it so far,but I haven't completely put it the oven to the test...the range, I have and it is wonderful.

We looked into getting a higher-end professional stove and then decided not to because if something ever breaks on it or you need service, it is waaaaaay more expensive to get someone to look at it.

With this stove, we have the best of both worlds, a high end, great quality model with all the bells and whistles without the high price tag of the pro model.

Hope that helped.

I hate when people use the word "sexy" to describe inanimate things, but that stove is SEXY.

Whatcha gonna bake me first? I'm partial to cheesecake brownies.

I really hope you're kidding not knowing who Vampire Weekend is. If not, I'll have to make you a mix tape or something, and then it'll be weird between us (meaning you, me, and your husband) and I can't risk ruining what we have no.

So can you look them up on iTunes instead?

p.s. This blog is great and all, but I really wish there were more, um, pieces of you I could read about.

Oh, I am so not kidding. Maybe you could make the stove a mix tape?
