Fall Vineyard Save the Date

I've been working with a client who is getting married on Martha's Vineyard in the Fall. She wasn't too set on any specific design concepts for her wedding when we first met which can be daunting to a designer to try and determine. But after speaking with her during an initial consultation I was able to come up with a few possible designs for her. One of my favorite parts of this career I have chosen is being able to take what a client has in their heads and in their hearts and create pieces that reflect that to their guests.

In the end, my client and her fiance chose a really beautiful suite that has some of my favorite details.

Below is their save-the-date (keep in mind that ALL information has been changed to protect the innocent).
I always love being in touch with a client in time to send out a save-the-date that coordinates with the entire invitation suite - I know when I receive an invitation in the mail that coordinates with the save-the-date I received earlier it really makes me excited about anticipating the type of event to expect.

I can't wait to show you what the full suite looks like, but I want to wait a bit longer to highlight the invitation itself so that they have time for their guests to receive them...that means you're going to have to be patient for a few more months!! But believe me...it is TOTALLY worth it.

In the meantime, here's a fun game: what slightly-unexpected detail do you think we will be including in the invitation design?

More parties!!

Here's another fun party invitation that I did for a client before the Christmas break. I used a few elements from the Envelopments line - specifically, the layout of the date and their tree graphic.

I loved the jewel tones of the double mount invitation and envelope and the client really responded favorably!

Party invites

Every year we host an after-the-holidays, meet-the-neighbors party at our home. It is a great way to get everyone on our block together to meet one another and say 'hi'. This year, our invitation is a little different and I think it is pretty fun.

Pay no mind to the date or details of this invitation...they've all been changed.
I'm hoping the neigbors all like this year's offering!!

Indie Owned

I recently participated in a publication called Indie Owned. The premise is to highlight independently owned businesses in and around Boston.

The publication was distributed to every home here in Roslindale, MA. Unfortunately, they weren't put in mailboxes like I originally thought they would be, but still it was great to get the exposure. Many of my clients are not local, so it is great to dip my toes in the local market a little bit more.

Here's the profile I created for the publication...you can see it up close here.

The last paragraph reads a little like a Miss America bio...guess I should change that.

Anyway, I'm very thankful to Indie Owned for the opportunity and am hoping that this will be a successful stepping point for growing my local presence.
