i must be crazy

my husband's birthday is on new years' eve. his younger cousin shares his birthday. 13 years ago, when my husband turned 21, he promised his cousin that they could do anything they want to do together on her 21st birthday.

fast forward to this year, and we are headed to california to go skydiving. except, my husband is afraid of heights...and doesn't even go on roller coasters. so guess who is going instead...

...i'll let you all know how that goes!

The shortest day

so today is a really great day. it is the shortest day of the year. which means that every single day from now until close to the end of june it will get progressively brighter and brighter. every. single. day.

but, the darkness isn't all that bad...especially when everything looks like it is coated in pure sugar.

enjoy the shortest day!!

non-event

that's what the weather people all said yesterday...

...will one of them come clean out my driveway that just got plowed in....after spending an hour yesterday cleaning the whole thing out?

and because i don't want to sound bitter about the snow...here's a picture of the lilac tree outside our front window this morning.

snow day

we bostonians have had a lot of snow and it isn't even officially winter yet! i personally love snow...if it is going to be cold and dark, might as well spruce up the place with a fresh layer of frosty white.

of course, it is a lot easier to like the wintery white stuff if you are warm and cozy inside by the tree; no matter what size tree you have :)

my first post

alright...so it begins.

i am actually not new to the blog-o-sphere; in fact, so much of the inspiration for starting LimoncelloSTYLE has come from years of immersing myself in the blog world.

i am hoping to use this blog as a way to show some of the things that inspire me and my work and to keep me connected to the people and places that helped get me to where i am today.

enjoy!
